Process
-
The sessions take 60 or 90 minutes.
-
In the first session, we start with a detailed medical history and examination, during which I take a lot of time to get to know you and get an idea of how I can best support you in your health. This will be followed by an initial treatment.
-
The necessary number of sessions will depend on your needs and is difficult to determine in advance. Please understand that it is sometimes necessary to attend several sessions before there is a noticeable improvement in your symptoms.
Side effects
After an osteopathic treatment, symptoms such as muscle pain, joint stiffness, fatigue, dizziness or increased pain may occur. These side effects usually disappear after a few hours and should not last longer than 2 to 3 days.
Price
The price for an osteopathic treatment is ca. €100 per 60 minutes and ca. €150 per 90 minutes. Billing is based on the fee schedule for alternative practitioners (Gebührenordnung für Heilpraktiker, GebüH).
An osteopathic treatment is generally a self-pay service. However, many statutory health insurance companies now reimburse part of the costs of osteopathy. It is best to enquire about this on the website of your health insurance company or you could give them a call. You can find an overview of the health insurance companies that contribute to the costs on the Osteokompass website.
For privately insured patients: If the contract with your health insurance company states that it will cover the costs of alternative healing methods and naturopathic treatments, it will most likely cover the costs in full or in part. Please enquire with your insurer in advance of your treatment.
